What is a series in esports?
A season of play grouping tournaments under one league, such as a spring split or a summer season. Each card names its league, its year and the dates it runs between.
Why do some series have no short name?
About a third carry a blank short name upstream, so the full name is used everywhere instead: on the card, in the search box, and in the name sort.
